Minnesota's Arrowhead Region is Home to the popular Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.   Historically we've focused on Lake Superior Kayaking but with one of the worlds best canoeing areas inland we are often asked if we offer any inland canoeing.  Well... last summer we added 2 activity options which include guided canoe day tours in the B.W.C.A.W. 

Long time kayak guide, Dave Freeman has also been guiding Boundary Waters Canoe Trips with Sawbill Outfitters. This summer we're adding new combo paddling options of a Lake Superior Kayak Day Tour and a Canoe Day Trip in the B.W.C.A.W.

For years we have been asked if we offered guided canoe day trips in the B.W.C.A.W.   With long time kayak guide Dave Freeman offering canoe day trips out of Sawbill Outfitters we decided to offer these NEW combination paddling weekends.  You'll go on a full day kayak tour on Lake Superior one day and then go inland to the Boundary Waters for a day of canoeing.  Weekend price includes... guide, all paddling equipment, transportation to the tour locations from Grand Marais and lunch on both days ($20 discount if you prefer to pack your own lunches) We have not included lodging with this Paddler's Weekend so that  those who prefer to camp for a lower cost weekend can signup...and those preferring lodging can arrange their own.  These weekends are a great way to experience the dramatic Lake Superior Coast and the beautiful Boundary Water's Canoe Area Wilderness.
