Hey, John, I was checking in with Beth Kennedy and she told us about the big change at SCS. They're doing a lot to that building! And the front will go right into the parking lot...it will be interesting to see.

Good for you on your new path, retail/shop ownership is not for everyone. It seemed like it was keeping you from paddling and having a more flexible life. I say this as a parent, which is a little bit like running your own store, so...

...We will not be in Grand Marais this summer, instead going to Bayfield/Madeline Island for, you guessed it, varied paddling, around 14-23 August. Look us up, 507-244-1555 or 1556, if you are there. Our big change, or one of them, is that we got an Australian Shepherd puppy named Jasper in December. He loves the water and we plan on bringing him on the Madeline Island trip. May be a paddling dog.
