The Sea Caves and Arches along the Palisades of Tettegouche State Park made this our main full day tour location. Split Rock Lighthouse State Park is another destination for a full day tour as well at up at the Canadian border launching from the mouth of the Pigeon River and along the very tip of Minnesota's Arrowhead. I have decided not to bother running kayak tours again. Check with the new store Stone Harbor Wilderness Supply. They are offering kayak tour options similar to what Superior Coastal offered.

Superior Coastal has sold it's building. Now what ? ... many have asked. Not sure really and it's exciting to look at all the options now that I am unburdened. I was considering starting up a small scale, mobile operation... no more large groups.. no more scheduled tours.. Rates from one person to 6 people .. meeting groups at the tour location .. All trips guided by John .. I will think about this and it may be based on comments here.. from former customers or others who may be interested.. Currently I have decided not to bother offering tours. For sure I am going to do a lot more paddling and traveling than I have in recent years now that I am free of the builidng's chains
To begin this new lifestyle .. I just completed kayaking the Inside Passage with friends and former guides..Dave, Amy and Clayton.
I am also planning to fit in a trip to the Apostles sometime this later summer as well. I have not been kayaking there for such a long time. If I do start running kayak tours again it would not be until the 2011 summer season. As I have said.. it depends on the amount of interest shown here . so let me know in the comments below. I won't bother if no interest is expressed on this website .. No matter.. Whether guiding trips or paddling on my own with friends.. I'm excited to be free.

Potentially I would have a booking calendar here .. So you could see if I am booked or free to take you kayaking on any certain date. Assuming I do start offering tours again ?? pretty vague huh : )
